Bel Air Bodies- The Novel

Here is the synopsis of Bel Air Bodies, my new novel available on Kindle. Amy Morgan is 32 and is struggling to make it in the high class community of Bel Air. She’s tired of being a single mother with no doting father at home; and dating the same types of guys is getting old, but she can’t seem to get her act together when it comes to finding the right man. Meanwhile, her friend Mandy is having -trouble too. Her attempts at getting pregnant are falling short, and her best friend has moved out of the state to run her own personal training studio. But as the story gets going, Amy and Mandy plod through their diverse problems together, with an in-person visit and many late night phone calls. Amy goes for an annual checkup at her doctor’s office, only to meet an attractive man who has all the qualities she’s looking for. They begin a relationship, which involves their respective four children, and it gets quite serious. However, Amy manages to do the usual number, and ruins her chances at love with Dr. Preston Roberts. When Amy and Preston split up, we learn that Amy really can’t live without a man; she’s hopeless on her own. For example, she is ready to get back together with the father of her children, even though he’s a cheating rascal and is the reason she left Seattle with her two kids in the first place. She also realises – now that it’s too late – just how much she loves Preston. Around this time Preston’s estranged wife comes back into the picture; she wants to give their marriage another chance after leaving Preston for her masseuse. Preston has no say in the matter as his ex, Lacey, bought the house. After a lot of thinking, Amy realises that she has behaved ridiculously and that was crazy of her to cheat on Preston. She sets about trying to get him back – which, of course, is nowhere near as easy as she had imagined. As we follow the problems of Amy Morgan, we learn a lot about love and forgiveness.
